2007: Peace of Mind
Dedicated to people willing to share and who believe in love.
It is a fact that we don’t know how to answer our children why the beautiful days have never come as we promised. Prophets in the media claimed that Taiwan would become worse and more helpless every day. These curses made us live in terror. But in the end, these prophets left Taiwan for mainland China and threw another big curse back to their homeland, “the poison from the mussels would kill everyone in Taiwan and eventually people in Taiwan would all die.” Really?
We should turn off the TV and roll up the newspaper. When the sky is no longer blue and clear, may the universe guide me with the beam of light. I’d rather believe in a good heart than a curse or a prophecy. Being friendly and kind is the most beautiful attribute of Taiwan. Even though the environment is covered by dust from the northern continent, we can open our hearts and let the warm breeze blow the dust away. Although the darkness falls, we can open our hearts to let the light shine across the whole sky.
We could ask those religious mentors to donate money to the poor instead of building temples or shrines. We could also ask the businessmen to offer more job opportunities instead of raising their own profits. Politicians should step into the communities instead of criticizing the nation.
It’s ok if your shoes are dirty since Buddha and Jesus all walked barefoot until they derived the truth of life.
Now, Yuan wishes that everyone can let go of their past and current thoughts, and believe in Taiwan, believe in ourselves. We hope you all have a “Peace of Mind” as always.
